Scott is a Senior Investment Advisor with Phillips & Company. He provides investment advisory retirement advice for his clients by providing portfolio analysis, determining risk tolerances, retirement strategy calculators, and creating portfolio construction strategies. His services include retirement planning, college planning needs, individual stock and bond selection, along with managed money solutions (portfolio manager selection & evaluation) for taxable and tax-deferred IRA accounts, as well as 401(k) plan design and management.
Scott is a Member and Officer of Phillips & Company and also sits on the Leadership Board Committee. He is involved with all aspects of building the firm’s investment advisory services through developing practices that coincide with the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
Prior to building his career with Phillips & Company in 1999, Scott earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management along with a Minor in Speech Communication from Oregon State University. He was also a charter member of the O.S.U. Flying Club and earned his Private Pilot’s license.
Outside of the enjoyment and fulfillment of advising clients with their investment and retirement objectives, Scott's other passion is his family. Being with his wife since 1993 has afforded him with a long-term stable household that has grown with 4 children (3 boys and 1 girl). While he is always available for his clients, in his spare time he enjoys coaching his children’s various sports and giving back to the community as Treasurer on the West Linn Youth Football Board and Treasurer on the West Linn High School Football Booster Board, as well as serving on the West Linn YoungLife board and leading boys bible study groups.
He holds his FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and his Investment Advisor Representative license (Series 65) with Phillips & Company.
